Commenting on statistics published today showing that children are more likely to suffer from unintentional injuries if they are from deprived areas, Liberal Democrat Health spokesman Ross Finnie said:
"This is another example of the health inequalities that plague young children from poor backgrounds.
"It is absolutely unacceptable.
"I want children from deprived backgrounds to feel just as safe as those from the richest areas."
