Commenting on a report out today which highlights the growing cost of youth unemployment in Scotland, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesperson Jeremy Purvis MSP said:
"When Labour was in Government at Westminster, youth unemployment rose to its highest ever level.
"The SNP have failed in their effort to bring forward a budget to create jobs for young people north of the border.
"In these tough economic times, Scotland needs a Government who understands youth unemployment and the repercussions it can have - not only on young people but on the wider economy."
